Concept help - Data Set Specification

A Data Set Specification describes an agreement to collect an ideal standard of data. A Data Set Specification may reference other Data Set Specifications or Data Elements to describe the data that should be collected under the agreement.

A data set specification (DSS) is a collection of Data Elements which address the requirements within the scope statement. The selected data elements must be collected according to the specified guidelines, and may require the user to comply with constraints such as sequencing, conditionality, multiple occurrences of the same data element, and multiple responses allowed within a code set.

Data set specifications may also be associated with other item types such as glossary items or indicators.

Definition Representation of a concept by a descriptive statement which serves to differentiate it from related concepts. (3.2.39)
Target Stewardship Organisation Stewardship Organisation the user selected when they create the item, which is where they wanted to item to end up in.

Comments Descriptive comments about the metadata item (8.1.2.2.3.4)
Deleted The date after which the item has been soft deleted and is no longer visible in the registry
Statistical Unit The basic counting unit for a collection, meaning that a record is created within the collection for each new occurrence of the statistical unit. For example counting episodes or people.
Collection Method Comments, advice, or instructions for the actual capture of data.
